We built a new home in 2004, so our trees are small supplying little shade. Heat buildup on the south and west side has been an issue, taxing our air conditioning system measurably. But, not any more. We have had our Suntex 80% screens up for five days now and can see and feel a significant difference. The rooms that were uncomfortable in the afternoon are now the very same temperature as the rest of the house. When placing my hand up to the glass, there is no heat felt from the suns penetration. Ironically enough, it has been in the high eighty's with intense sun and humidity ever since receiving the solar screens. Installing them was a "breeze".
