Crossbar Clips

Simple to use, was worried the spline would not fit with the clip in, but no problem there.

Disadvantages: Easy to lose the clip into the crossbar, but they slide out.

So far, I've constructed two long frames that required a cross brace, thus needing these clips to hold the brace in place. The clips worked wonderfully. These things were absolutely impossible to find locally and Amazon was way over-priced. These worked well and I was able to buy a quantity that made sense for my project. Very pleased.

Advantages: Price, quantity, and choice of sizes

Disadvantages: Choosing the correct size can be a bit confusing at first.

Did the job of connecting screens frames together. We’re used to support frames of large screens. Are inconspicuous and have not moved due to strong winds

These clips did the job, but they're hard to use because they don't stay in the frame channel or the crossbar ends during assembly.

Advantages: No alternative found

Disadvantages: They move during assembly

I didn't even know that window screens had these clips in them, until the need to replace them arose. These for perfectly into the crossbar on the screen too keep the screen stable.

Advantages: Easy to remove and replace wherever needed on the vertical sides of the screens.

Disadvantages: No disadvantages noted so far in the month since installed on the screens.

Great that these crossbar clips are available. Hard or impossible to find at local hardware stores. Wish that the clips were available for 7/16 x 3/4 and 7/16 x 1 frames.
